RACHEL BRAY : Learning from Children

audio Listening to Children in Nepal, Scotland and South Africa

In this introduction, I share stories about how I came to understand that learning from children is important, and how to set about doing so. Looking back on my research amongst vulnerable children in Nepal, Scotland and southern Africa, I reflect on what taught me to really listen and to understand the world from their perspectives. Then I speak about how I have tried to use such learning to make a difference – to inspire and influence adults who raise, teach or guide children, including those in government designing policies and securing budgets to improve children’s lives.
